Catalyst Public Relations Account Executive Christina Scott was recognized with three awards, including a first-place prize. Thomas Renner won a second-place award. The winners will be honored on Tuesday, May 15, at an awards ceremony and cocktail party at Artisan in Southport.
“Catalyst is honored to have our work recognized by the Connecticut Press Club,’’ Catalyst President Melissa LoParco said. “The awards are a fine example of the mind-set of everyone at Catalyst as we strive to service our clients with superior work for all of their marketing communications needs.”
Now in its 25th year, Catalyst Marketing Communications Inc. is a full-service advertising agency and public relations firm based in Stamford. Catalyst has built its reputation by specializing in two core areas; business-to-business and community marketing communications.
Scott’s work won first place in the “News or Feature Release – Single Release” category. Her release on behalf of Bendheim about a unique architectural glass façade in New York City was published in Metropolis, Buildings and Arch Daily.
Additionally, she won third place in the “Media Pitch” category for a story on behalf of Stamford Health and won honorable mention in the same division, also for a Stamford Health project.
Renner, a former Daily Voice reporter, won second place in the “Media Pitch” category for a project about Cincinnati Music Hall that he completed on behalf of The BILCO Company, a New Haven-based manufacturer of specialty access products.
The CT Press Club competition includes 61 categories, and work was judged by professionals with corresponding expertise. The competition was open to anyone who lives or works in Connecticut and work had to have been published between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2018.
